What you really want to know is will a 10 day diet work, or is it just a bunch of marketing BS which the Diet Industry want us to believe so they can sel their latest wonder diet pills and diet supplements.

I understand your sceptisism and I might be a little biased with my answer as the author of one of the best selling 10 day diet books on the internet 'Lose 10 Pounds in 2 Weeks' but I can say with absolute honesty if you follow a nutritionally balanced diet and do a moderate amount of exercise you will see astounding results and they alone can start to transform your life.

Did you know a diet can transform the way you feel about yourself and make changes in your life you never even dreamed of. How do you feel about yourself at this moment do you look a bit over weight fully dressed (it could just be your wearing the wrong type of clothes) let's take it one step futher how good do you look naked.

Infact if you seriously want to lose weight you will need to either buy a full length mirror or a camera as this will be far less disheartening than a set of scales.How does it make you feel are you happy or sad at what you see (not what you think you see but what is really looking back at you in the mirror).

Often people dress in the wrong type of clothes which are either to tight or to loose and they will appear fatter than they really are. Another reason people feel fat is because they never see themselves face on but only from above.

So after giving it some thought you have decided if you are going to fit in that dress or swim suit you are going to try a diet for a couple of weeks.

It might have been a couple of months when you knew you were going to need to be ready for the special event but before you know it life gets in the way and you find yourself having a couple of weeks to lose around 8-10 pounds so you can get into that bikini you brought last year.

I find so many people screw up when they try and lose weight in a short space of time.Most people for some crazy reason just assume if you stop eating the weight will drop off.Ok maybe it will to some extent but by about the first half of week one you will be irritable, unhappy and starving. Hardly sets you up for a great vacation or party does it?

Maybe your planning to get married or be guest at wedding or prehaps it's just a party you have been looking forward to for weeks by now if you have been starving yourself or following a wacky diet you are fed up and can't be bothered with anything.

Lets see you've decided you want to lose 10 pounds but if you lost 6 or 8 perhaps even 9 pounds would it really be that much of big deal? Why of course not it's not that big a deal let your eyes show you how you are progressing (remember using a mirror or camera) Now just close you eyes a minute and dream ...

You'll be feeling sexier, more stunning and full of confidence when your wearing that sexy little black dress (LBD) or pretty colored bikini, think of all that extra attention you'll get and how hot and turned on you are going to feel when you are with your partner knowing how good you look. However if you been single for ages you better get used to having a lot more attention as well after all your'e a hot babe now.

Now doesn't that fire you up to succeed more than thinking about any kind of diet? It will be so much easier whe you know the effort will give you want you want in life. It won't feel like chore any more just a journey to your destination.

I know it's hard to believe but your motivation is far more important than your diet if you truly want something badly enough it is not possible to fail a 14 day diet or a 10 day diet it really won't make any difference if your hearts in it.
