Larry The Cable Guy Tickets

By: Phyllis Campbell

It’s truly amazing how one little gift can send a man into orbit. When I gave my husband Larry the Cable Guy tickets for his birthday, he acted like he won the lottery. While I’m a pretty big fan of this hilarious character, too, I really had no idea that the gift would have such a profound impact on my husband.

I actually got the Larry the Cable Guy tickets on a whim. I didn’t want to purchase another tool and I think that my husband would rather get a root canal than receive clothes or ties (that he will never wear) as birthday presents. I figured that Larry the Cable Guy tickets would be the prefect choice. I just didn’t realize how very perfect they were.

One of the reasons that this kind of present is so appealing to me is that it takes up no room and it serves a great purpose. As time goes by, we accumulate a lot of stuff and sooner or later this stuff begins to overwhelm us. Giving a gift that lives in a moment like Larry the Cable Guy tickets is a wonderful way to make a present into a memory that will be cherished for years and years.

Not only is this a convenient gift that offers a fun experience for my husband it also has great sentimental value as well. My husband and I are big fans of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and Larry is his favorite character. I prefer Ron White myself but the whole crew is wonderful overall.

Once I saw that Larry the Cable Guy tickets were available, I immediately thought of how much my husband enjoyed the routine. I also thought about how much he liked to imitate this character, too. The notion of hearing “Get-r-done” over and over again for another month wasn’t all that appealing but I opted to get the Larry the Cable Guy tickets anyway.

So my husband is going ballistic over this present and he announces that he can’t wait to take his brother to the show. I have to admit that I was more than a little disappointed that one of the Larry the Cable Guy tickets wasn’t for me but it’s his gift and I know that my brother-in-law will love the show, too.

I really don’t mind that I’m not going. After all, I’m sure that I’m going to hear my husband’s rendition of the show more than once. Now if the Larry the Cable Guy tickets included an appearance by Ron White, my brother-in-law would have to wait to get his own tickets.
