Now a round hot tub may actually sound like a good idea, but in reality it is not, they are dangerous and should be considered a menace to society and good health. First of all a round hot tub is a very hard object to dig a suitable hole for in the ground. Second, as a round hot tub is indeed round, the sitting ledge is not the most comfortable to sit on and is normally not wide enough. Lastly, a round hot tub is simply boring. Of course one good thing is that in a round hot tub you can probably sit more people and you are all facing each other making discussion very simple.
Digging Round Holes
Round holes are required for below ground round hot tubs. Of course, if the tub you own, or plan to own, is one of the plastic varieties that you sit on your porch then this issue is mute. Most digging implements are not round, or at least they do not have a circumference the same size that is required for your round hot tub. As you consider the problem the first thing that most master diggers do is mark out the required circle. Hopefully this information is in the directions, or perhaps you are a master builder and are not only digging a hole for your round hot tub but are also framing it out. In that case you will have a chord that is the length of the radius of the circle you need and you will anchor it in the middle of the area you want to dig and then you will scribe the circle. Of course if you are a builder then you will make this wider than the owner expects and you will expand your project. This makes round hot tubs even more of a danger to society and your wallet. The building of them can become very costly and as a home project are very much subject to overruns. It would be much better to spend that money on good food or wine to accompany the party you are throwing once your other shaped fun hot tub is commissioned.
No Place To Sit
This may be considered a minor point, but round hot tubs usually have a round ledge that is not wide enough to accommodate most normal folks in a sitting position. This means as they elegantly try and sit around and have a conversation the more they drink the easier it is for them to slip down and hurt themselves. This danger of round hot tubs should be considered when you are making the decision on what kind of hot tub to own.
