When I was a kid, I used to love watching professional wrestling. It was actually one of my favorite things in the world to watch. I knew all of the wrestlers. My favorite one was Jake the Snake, but I also liked Rowdy Roddy Piper quite a bit. I used to have all of the wrestling action figures. I don't literally mean all of them, but every time I could get my hands on a wrestling action figure, I used to get it. I would get them for my birthdays, for Christmas, and of course anytime I could convince my mom to buy me one in the toy store.
As the years went by, however, I lost track of my wrestling figures. To be honest, I thought that they were lost in the move. My mom was not a very good packer, and I was never very organized myself. When we moved, a lot of my toys went permanently missing. I figured that every last wrestling figure was gone except for the few that I had kept in a backpack. It turns out, however, that they were just stuck in some distant corner of the basement. I didn't know for years and years, but recently I found them. I was overjoyed.
If it weren't for the fact that grandma was very sick, I never would have found the wrestling figures. You see, she was moving back in with us temporarily. We had to clean out the basement so that she had a place to stay. Our basement was a mess. It was cluttered with boxes, crates, and old rusting shelves. It was on one of these old rusting shells, way in the back, that I found my wrestling figures. They were still in the same box that I had put them in all those years ago. I recognized them instantly. Every single wrestling figure was there! I figured that some would have fallen out, but apparently none of them got lost!
Now that I have my wrestling figures back, I don't know what to do with them. On the one hand, I think I would like to put them on display in my room again. I might even play with them from time to time, at least when no one is looking. On the other hand, those wrestling figures might be worth quite a bit of money. I know that old WWF merchandise has gone up in value since it became the WWE!
