Aside from dogs, there is one thing that can be considered man's best friend. Duct tape is a versatile tool that many guys just can't live without. This product has made its way into the hearts and toolboxes of men across the globe. There is good reason for the popularity of duct tape. It gets the job done.
Way back when I was in college I drove a rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla. The engine on this little machine just wouldn't die but the body was literally falling apart. I was told that some duct tape could help me get this car to pass inspection. All I needed was some duct tape and some body primer and I was good to go.
The rust that was eating away at the body of the vehicle has to be addressed. This was the first step in the patching process. Once I got most of the rust under control, I covered the holes in the car with duct tape. After adding a few layers of this durable stuff, I just slapped on some body putty and some primer.
The rest of the project went smoothly. I sanded the vehicle by hand and after a few hours, I was ready to prime and paint the little machine. This auto body repair was the perfect way to get me through a car inspection until I had enough money to get the job done by a professional. Duct taped saved the day.
However, when I did finally get the cash up to make the proper repairs, I found that it wasn't necessary. The duct tape was holding up! I didn't think it was possible but I wound up driving this car for two more years before trading it in for something new. Who would have thought that duct tape could do so much?
Well, actually it can do a lot more. In fact, there are Websites and books dedicated to the almighty duct tape. You can find a ton of projects including wallet designs, flower patterns and you can even add a little duct tape jacket and matching shoes to your wardrobe.
This stuff is simply unbelievable. I keep a nice stock of duct tape on hand. You never know when you may need it. The great thing is that today's product comes in a ton of different colors. If you have a project, a toolbox and a pair of hands, you need duct tape.
