Just about everyone is familiar with the artist’s drawing pad. This item is a must for creative individuals who want to create something original with their hands. Freehand drawing is still quite prominent even in this age of technology and computers. In fact, today’s drawing pad is quite different than the traditional ones that typically come to mind.
If you’ve ever used a traditional drawing pad then you know that this item is typically made up of a collection of paper bound together. The paper quality and texture varies according to type and you have the option of tearing out each sheet individually. This is a simply clever invention that has made illustrating a little easier.
Many artists who like to draw freehand images may feel pretty intimidated when it comes to transferring their art on to the PC. Computer graphics and computer generated art is quite different from the classic approach to creating images by hand like one would do on a drawing pad.
Fortunately, there is an innovative accessory that you can add to your personal or professional computer. The electronic drawing pad is a wonderful product that allows the artist draw directly on to the computer using the electronic tablet. This is a fantastic idea that has many of us clamoring for more information.
I’ll share what I discovered on my journey into the world of the electronic drawing pad. While some claim that the electronic tablet has some disadvantages to classic paper, I find that this device is the closest thing to a drawing pad that I have found. The notion of drawing into the computer is a thrill and it is quite different from scanning pre-drawn images on the PC.
I also came across a wonderful device that is called the E-ink Drawing Pad. This electronic tablet is as close to real paper as it gets as of right now. There are some uses for this product that are quite valuable. These uses include cartooning, freehand editing of texts as well as other hands-on endeavors that were unachievable earlier.
As of right now, the electronic drawing pad is a great tool for hand drawn and hand written additions to the computer. This is wonderful news for those of us who are more creative when we work with our hands rather than with a keyboard.
Who knows? There may be even greater advances in the future that will allow artists to draw and paint a real work of art right into the computer screen. Perhaps the whole definition of drawing pad will change.
