I have never been a truck person. I prefer to drive a car and I can’t see where that would ever change. I might consider an SUV, but with gas prices as they are, I think I will stick with my car. The only downside that I can find about owning a car exclusively is that there are many times when I have wanted to move something that I could not fit in my car, and I had no way to do it otherwise. This was recently a problem for my husband, and he and his band came up with a good solution. They looked into trailer rental for their needs.
They said they didn’t know why they never thought about trailer rental before they did. Though a few members of the band have vehicles that could move their equipment, it was not good when it rained, and those vehicles were not reliable enough for long distance gigs. Trailer rental saved the day for them, and they have not done anything else since. The rental is always very cheap and it makes moving their equipment so much less of a hassle than it has ever been.
Trailer rental can be good for moving just about anything. Though it might not be practical for smaller things, this is something that can even be done for a vacation. Most of the time everything will fit into a car, but if you are renting a beach cottage, for example, you might want to take some extra things with you like chairs, beach goodies, and even an outdoor table. This is when trailer rental would be a good idea. You could safely take everything with you without filling the car beyond capacity.
It is important to note that trailer rental is something that is a good idea in many cases, but you can’t get anything too large if you are using a car, and you might not be able to haul it without a special attachment on the car, and many don’t have them. There are tiny trailers that can be pulled by car, but make sure you can pull them before you rent so you aren’t left paying for something that you can’t use. This is best for those who have a truck or van but don’t have enough room, or when the vehicles just can’t carry what you need to take with you.
