Slipknot Masks For Halloween

By: Sam Dillon

When October 31st rolls back around this year, you may have trouble figuring out what to wear. I mean think about this for a moment. You want to dress-up in some horrifying costume, but you definitely don't want to frolic about in the same thing 20 other people are wearing. Hmm, what to do? Well, have you heard of a little hardcore band called Slipknot? These fellows thrash and bash in some pretty freaky get-ups. The eight different masks they wear are terrifying enough for anyone. So maybe you should be checking out slipknot masks for this Halloween night. I haven't seen a single one on October 31st yet.

It's a bit hard to describe the eight slipknot masks. Have you ever seen the flick "Clownhouse" or "Texas Chainsaw Massacre?" These characters sport masks similar to the stuff you'll see Slipknot performing on stage in. Basically they're perfect if you want to give someone a good fright. There's a trick to this of course. One fellow I would spot on Halloween night back when I was in junior high knew just how to do it. I saw this guy two years in a row. He would walk around town after dark in cover-alls, boots and a Michael Myer's mask. It doesn't really sound all that scary, but trust me; he freaked my buddies and I out. The first time I saw him, I asked my friend's who it was. They had no clue. We shrugged it off and went on our way. Then later that night we spotted the fellow again, sitting on a park bench, alone in the dark. This was when we decided to call out to him. He did not answer. He only sat there. Later on we saw him in the movie theater, two rows behind us. He still wouldn't answer when we called to him. Finally he was walking on the sidewalk toward us around 11pm. We were a little wary of his presence. As he got closer, he brandished a large knife. Blood dripped from the tip of it to the pavement below. At the sight of it, we freaked out. But it was too late. He lunged at us with a growl. As we screamed, he jerked off his mask and laughed. Clearly he did not frighten us a third year. We weren't falling for it again. I can only imagine how much scarier he'd have been with one of the slipknot masks.

Although I've never seen the slipknot masks in Party City or Halloween Express, I have seen them for sale on the Internet. Like any other quality mask, one will run you around 50 bucks. The fright you get from kids will be worth it.
