The telephone rings. You stroll casually across the room and snatch it from the receiver. The caller sounds suspicious, so you play it off and tell them they have the wrong number. Just as you hang up the phone, it RINGS again. Now you're a bit on edge. You tentatively lift the phone from the receiver to say hello. Immediately you realize it's the same eerie voice as before. Now you're starting to get anxious and jittery. You reply with a firm tone and hang up the phone. But, just as you step away, the RING blares once again throughout the otherwise silent home. At this point you wish you hadn't stayed home alone. Especially not out in the boonies, far from town and neighbors. You swallow a lump in your throat, attempting to be brave, but then you spot a terrifying mask in the window. It peers in at you with a ghostly face and menacing grin. AHHHHH! Okay, I admit, this may just be clips of a popular horror film from 1996, but it's still frightening. The Kevin Williamson film "Scream" has become one of the classics. So don't be surprised when you spot a few scream masks on Halloween.
I love the cult classic film "Scream." Hey, it may not be considered a cult classic just yet, but it surely will be in the future. It's just got that feel to it. This is the only flick that I watched three times in the movie theater. Now you see how much I loved it! I wasn't so sure where the idea for the scream masks came from. I just assumed it was a costume designer idea. But then I read a piece stating how the "Ghost Face" killer was based after the Gainesville Ripper of Florida. Hmm, who actually knows how close these characters are is up in the air. We all know how cinema tends to go way off track. The "based on true events" spiel can be pretty vague to say the least. For all we know, each story contained human beings and took place on planet earth, hence based on true "EVENTS." Regardless of any truth relating back to the "Scream" film, the scream masks will remain in circulation. We horror nuts love these like we do the Jason, Freddy, and Michael Myers masks. They're classics that will come out on each and every Halloween night.
You won't have any trouble purchasing scream masks or horror masks/costumes year-round. These are constantly available online. Do a little surfing on your PC or Mac, and you're sure to find what you're looking for at a low cost.
