What To Record In The Bird Watching Journal
It is important that the bird watcher keep complete and accurate records in their bird watching journal. Accurate and complete records will help the person to know the specifics of their experience and will also validate the records for others. The bird watching journal should include the general and specific location of the sightings, the date, the time, the weather conditions, the species, the sex and specific markings on the bird. For a great feature the bird watcher may want to include photographs of each of the birds sighted. This may require a larger journal but would be well worth the photographic record.
