Search For Someone Without A Private Detective

By: Jamie Preston

Until last year, and never really had to search for someone. All of my friends were pretty public people, and usually very easy to get a hold of. But a few years ago, something strange had happened. One of my friends had a nervous breakdown and dropped off the face of the map. At the time, I just let her go. She was acting pretty crazy, and I figured that if I used one of the find someone searches, it would just antagonize her further. She needed some time to cool off, and so she lost touch with our group of friends.

Recently, however, I got together with some old high school buddies. We were talking about the old crew and how much we had all changed, and someone brought up our old friends Jeanine. No one had heard from her in years, and we decided on a whim to do a people search. At first, we were pretty skeptical. None of us had ever done a search for someone, and we figure that, if she didn't want to be found, we wouldn't find her. After all, if she'd wanted to contact us she would have.

Still, we figured we had nothing to lose. The worst thing that would happen would be that she wouldn't want to hear from us. We went to a search for someone site and immediately put in her name and all the information we had about her. At first, there was no success. The free person search was pretty good, but all it really access to was the most easy to find public records. She had a pretty common last name, and many of us thought she might be unlisted as well.

For a while, a few of us thought that we would have to either give up or hire a private investigator. Hiring a detective seemed like a pretty extreme step, so I figure that we would just let it go. Then we decided on a whim to try one more search for someone sites. This was a little bit more professional than the other ones. It had some proprietary databases that looked to be pretty legitimate and high quality. Although it gave us thousands of contacts, we were patient and sorted through all of them. Soon, we have found our friend. It turns out that she was happy to hear from us, and we have been in touch with her since them.
