We hate to listen to our parents when they rant on and on about college. Yeah, yeah; we know the spiel about how a higher education leads to a promising future. When it comes down to it, we're either going to choose to go or choose not to go. It's as simple as that. Many will choose to go later in life, and maybe end up graduating at age 29 or even 37. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It works better for some. However, for those who never take the college path, hopefully you have something else in mind. Something that will lead you to the life you hoped for as a child. Now, I think it's imperative that everyone know the standard college experience has changed. You currently have more choices than ever before. For example, you can try and online course as opposed to living on a campus or commuting to a far off University. For many, this is ideal.
My wife mentioned to me the other day that she was interested in taking a class. I thought this was odd at first. I mean, the woman already has her BS in chemical engineering and several years experience in the field. Why would she want to head back to school? Little did I know, she didn't. She was referring to an online course to be taken from home. She would basically deal with the class entirely on the web. Naturally you receive the same credit when the course is completed. This is a wonderful advantage for stay-at-home parents, who can't just up and leave their home to attend a class on a University campus. It's also ideal for full-time workers that want some additional education, or possibly a master's degree. They can achieve these goals on their own time from the comfort of their homes.
Maybe an online course is right for you. Well, at this point most Universities offer online classes. All you need to do in order to get started is surf the web for options. Since your class will be online, you can even attend Universities that are not in your immediate area. So what are you waiting for? Get that additional education you deserve. College is a whole new ball game.
