Children's parties are not what they used to be. Remember back when you were a kid and your parents would throw you a birthday party? What all was included here? Probably a meal and some cake. Does that sound about right? Well it does to me. The kids would come over and bring a small gift. It always went well and we had a blast. In this day and age, things are certainly not so simple. There are far too many party favors children are just itching to get there hands on for this to be true. We parents go all-out these days. And I will be the first to admit that my wife and I have totally conformed to these contemporary practices. What ever happened to just good old-fashioned fun without all the extras?
The last birthday party I threw was in January. My daughter was turning seven and she had a whole list of party favors children prefer waiting for me to purchase. It's not like she didn't want a cake and ice cream too, because she totally did; along with party hats, pizza, chips, soft drinks, a pinata, a game to play, balloons, and a few other things. The list appeared to go on and on. This simple birthday party was going to get pricey. It was time for me to get the scoop on these party favors children like so much. My daughter told me that any time you invite children to your birthday party, you should have parting gifts for them. This basically consisted of a bag for each child, containing the following; assorted candy, a few stickers, a cool small toy, and maybe some plastic jewelry or something of that sort. Oh, and each had a high-bounce as well. This was what we ended up purchasing for my daughter's birthday bash. The children who came did seem to love their parting gift. Heck, I would have too when I was their age. Unfortunately these party favors children love can get rather pricy when you have a dozen or more kids coming over.
The best place I have found to purchase great party favors children adore is Party City. This store is located basically anywhere. They offer a dazzling array of small toys, party gifts and gags, and infinite items kids will go gaga over. So if you're planning a child's birthday bash, try Party City first.
