Marriage Annulment, Separation, And Divorce |

We all make mistakes. I will gladly own up to making my fair share of them. As I get older, it seems the simple mistakes are behind me. Though I don’t make as many huge mistakes as I sued to, they do come. Most of the time I know I should stop what I am doing, but at times you can’t think clearly. You shouldn’t beat yourself up too much when you make a mistake. The important thing is to learn from it, which I always try to do. You also have to rectify it. If you have made the colossal mistake of getting married on a whim or to someone you shouldn’t be anywhere near, you may have to go out and get marriage annulment to get yourself out of your predicament.
A marriage annulment should not be taken lightly and there are times you may be denied. You have to look into your state laws to know what you can and can’t do. If you married in a hurry for some reason and decided it was a mistake the next day, you may be able to get a marriage annulment but you had better prepared to prove why it was a mistake and why you should both be let out without having to get a divorce.
If you are Catholic, you have to get a marriage annulment to get remarried. I’m not sure about the reasoning behind this because I am not Catholic and no one has ever explained it to me. I do know that I can understand it on one hand and it makes no sense on the other. In all reality, a marriage annulment would make the children illegitimate and why on earth would anyone want that to happen? I don’t want to debate that here because I understand that there is a lot about it that I don’t know.
If you feel you need a marriage annulment don’t let too much time pass before you go ahead and put it into motion. It is not something that you should take lightly, and you should enter into either the marriage or the annulment carelessly. You know when you have made a mistake, however, and something you just have to get a marriage annulment. There are good reasons to get one and very bad ones. If you need to talk to a lawyer to make sure you are doing the right thing that is exactly what you should do.
