I never knew what a difference a fridge could make until I got my new Kenmore elite refrigerator. I used to have a general electric refrigerator. It was a built in refrigerator, and came with the house. I lived in an old house, one that had been built around the turn of the century. It was very beautiful, and had been well maintained. It had high ceilings and wood floors, as well as a solid roof and a spacious layout. One thing it didn't have, however, was modern appliances and modern wiring.
Getting a new Kenmore refrigerator was long overdue. I had been using that old GE profile refrigerator for much too long. The problem was that it was so hard to decide on what kind of refrigerator to get. Because we lived in an old house, we had extremely high heating bills. We had been thinking about ways to save money on heating, and the idea of having a compact refrigerator had occurred to us. It was a big fight for us to decide to get the Kenmore elite refrigerator. I was all about getting a compact mini refrigerator, but my wife wanted to have some storage space. Eventually, I gave in to her demands. She is the one who does most of the cooking, after all, and I appreciated her need for a nice refrigerator.
The Kenmore elite refrigerator certainly was nice. It had all the modern conveniences, in fact. It had an ice maker, a large and spacious freezer, a deicer and a dehumidifier. Not only was the Kenmore elite refrigerator a pretty deluxe model, but it was also fairly energy-efficient for a refrigerator that large. Don't get me wrong, it was still an energy hog. Even so, however, it saved us a lot of electricity compared with the old GE refrigerator that we had before it. Whatever you think of modern design, you have to admit that it tends to become more efficient as the years go by.
Still, sometimes I wish I hadn't gotten the Kenmore elite refrigerator. Having a large refrigerator just makes everything too convenient. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that Kenmore elite refrigerator. I like the fact that I can go up there, push the button, and have ice in my glass. I like the fact that I can store large amounts of leftovers in the fridge. Even so, we could be spending less than half of what we spend on electricity if we had not gotten the Kenmore elite refrigerator.
