Inflatable Mattress - For The Bedroom Or Camping |

If you have a small place and you don’t have a lot of room for visitors, you may want to invest in an inflatable mattress. This is also a good thing to have if you like to go visit friends who have the same space restrictions that you do. Most of us cannot afford to have a room or two set aside just for visitors, and we often need a place for those who visit to sleep when they stay over. Though an inflatable mattress is a good idea, you do have to make sure you get the right one.
The first inflatable mattress I got lasted a lot longer than I thought it would. It cost about twenty dollars. I was sure we would use it a few times and it would be gone from this world. Incredibly it lasted a few years, and it took a beating before it finally gave in and called it a day. This inflatable mattress went camping with us quite a few times, and it always came back in one piece. How that happened is still a mystery to me.
You not be as lucky as I was if you don’t spend enough on an inflatable mattress however. If you don’t buy a good one, it probably won’t last very long for you. If you have cats, you might as well forget it. I saw a cat walk very softly across the inflatable mattress my friend had when visiting, and it was flat within the hour. The cat didn’t dig in; she simply walked across the top of it. If you have pets nearby, or there will be pets wherever you are going, make sure you get one made with a very thick material that might not pop so easily.
You can now find an inflatable mattress that sits up off of the ground. This is what most people should get for their guests if they can afford it. Though it will not be as comfortable as a real bed, it will be up off the ground and that makes it easier to get in and out of the bed. This type of inflatable mattress will also be easier to store than you think. They are made with storage in mind. For the most part you can deflate them and then they fold up rather easily so that you can store them in almost any closet.
You also want to make sure you get an inflatable mattress that has it’s own air pump included. This is going to cost you more money but believe me, this is something you are going to be thankful for. If you have ever tried to blow up an inflatable mattress by yourself, you know exactly what I mean. If you want to torture someone, just have them blow up their own mattress when they come to stay. Get one with a pump that just plugs into the wall. In most cases they inflate in minutes and they save you a lot of time and hassle.
