Youth is what's in! There's really no disputing this. I was just watching a new movie trailer for a film entitled "Next." It apparently stars Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel. From what I saw, it looked like she was his love interest in the film. HUH? Couldn't they have found an actress more his age? The guy is in his forties and Jessica Biel is like 25. What does this say about our society? You don't see the opposite in movies. It's never the 45 year old heroine with a man in his 20s. That's virtually unheard of. So basically we endorse the women being younger, while the men can age as they please. It's bizarre if you ask me. if we didn't do this, you wouldn't find some new-age face lift cream behind every cosmetic counter.
We live in an age where you can alter your appearance. Don't like your nose? Just get it fixed! Having trouble accepting your wrinkled forehead and cheeks? Not really a problem! Just set up a consultation with an excellent plastic surgeon and you'll be well on your way to looking young and vibrant again. You see, they'll basically cut completely around your face, and then stretch it upward. Sounds pleasant huh? Hmm, not so much. Maybe a simpler and more practical solution is called for. What about a face lift cream that you can easily apply at home? There's always the Athena 7 Minute Lift. This is a face lift cream that will run you 90 dollars, but has received a five star rating from customers. Then there is Freeze, which will cost you about 20 bucks more. It also has a good rating of 4 stars. Supposedly it will give you a 50-90 percent decrease in fine lines and wrinkles. And for a bit less, only 40 dollars, you can purchase Deception face lift cream. However, I'm not so sure I'd recommend one that only received two stars. I guess you get what you pay for after all.
Are contemporary face lift and wrinkle creams really so imperative? Do you have to stay looking like a 20 year old forever? My opinion is a whopping NO, but I'm fairly certain many people will disagree. Primarily the fellow men. For some odd reason they want their ladies looking young enough to be their daughters. In the end, I guess I just can't grasp that desire.
