You may be one of the millions of Americans who get excited around tax season. Chances are you work for some company that automatically deducts all taxes from your paycheck. Maybe they even take a little more than they need to. Who am I kidding? Of course they do. After all, the government has to make money off of this chunk of cash. They can get oodles of interest over the year. But, then comes the annual time for your IRS tax refund. You need to get back what's rightfully yours from the federal government and state. And if you choose not to do so, I can't say that I understand where you're coming from.
So here's the good news; it's as easy as pie filing your IRS tax refund. In fact, the entire process has been converted to the Internet. All you need now days is a bit of software and your personal information. You can log onto a website and file your taxes in no time flat. And the cool part is they actually walk you through it. You don't get any simpler than that. This way you don't have to spend extra cash having someone figure out your IRS tax refund for you. Wouldn't that be a refreshing break? It certainly was for me. Whatever you do, don't be one of those foolish individuals that fail to claim their tax refund. That just makes no sense whatsoever. This is cold-hard cash you get back from the government and state you reside in. Take it while you can. There's already over two billion in unclaimed returns.
While we're on the topic of the IRS tax refund, it's imperative to know the trouble you can encounter if you fail to pay your share. Now I'm not talking about state taxes here. I'm merely addressing the federal government. The IRS is not anyone you want to mess with. Many have tried and many have found themselves in hot water. You can not only end up having to pay it all back, but you can also end up owing more than you would have originally. This is called getting fined. A well-known supermodel tried this routine a few years back and ended up paying millions for her mistake. If you're going to live here in the states, you've got to pay your taxes.
