Inexpensive Dress - Finding A Dress That You Can Afford

By: Chris Sussan

Women always want to look their very best and in the summer that means showing off their legs. Sundresses are made for this and with a complementary pair of sandals, a woman can look as hot as the temperature outside is. Most women will agree that clothing is costly so finding an inexpensive dress that looks great is always welcomed. There are many outlets that offer great deals on all dresses. It’s just a matter of knowing where to look.

One of the best places to cruise for some new summer duds is the mall. Virtually every city has at least one shopping mall. Most people never notice but all malls cater more to women’s wear than to men. You are apt to find ten women’s clothing stores for every one men’s store. With some bargain shopping skills you are likely to find an inexpensive dress or two there.

Most retail outlets all use the same tactic when it comes to sale items. They’ll plaster signs announcing that items are on sale and then they’ll tuck those things in the back of the store. It’s a great marketing ploy as women will wander through the more expensive items to get to the discount rack. If you’re a smart shopper you’ll stay focused on your end mission which is finding an inexpensive dress. Walk straight past all those regular priced outfits and you’ll save yourself some money.

Consignment stores are another goldmine when it comes to finding quality clothing at bargain basement prices. Many stores like this will have at least one inexpensive dress you’ll like. The best part about shopping consignment is that you can often find designer label dresses for rock bottom prices. Most of these outlets get new stock in almost on a daily basis, so try and stop by as often as you can to look for dresses or whatever else your wardrobe is lacking.

If you’re great with a sewing machine you can make a cute summer outfit for a fraction of what you’d expect to pay at any store. Sewing really isn’t as hard as it seems and many of us females got a quick tutorial in middle school home economics class. With a pattern in the right size and some patience you can create an inexpensive dress in any color you like. If you are new to the world of sewing, pick a design that isn’t terribly complicated. A shirt dress is good and with the right machine you can even leave the button hole making to it.

Finding clothes at a price you can afford is definitely doable. It just takes some insight, the right timing and a little patience. Once you see yourself in a dress that didn’t cost you a week’s salary you’ll feel not only beautiful but richer too.
