There have a been a lot of school shootings in the last decade, and most recently the shooting was at a college. Parents have a lot to think about, and bullying might have a part in what is going on. Though all children face bullying in some way while growing up, there are times when it can be unbearable for the child, and it can do something to their mind that might not be repaired or forgotten. This is why parents with school age children need to read up on bullying articles so they know the latest information.
The types of bullies there are out there are numerous. There is the silent type that makes one threat but then hovers around the target of their aggression. This can almost be worse than direct bully tactics. Other bullies will go for a while, stop, and then start up again just when the victim thinks that the torture is over. Any of these mess with a child’s mind, and it is a good idea to read in-depth bullying articles to find out more about how they operate.
Parents should read as many bullying articles as they can find, but they should look for information on being the bully and being the victim. For every child that is bullied, there is a bully. Parents are sometimes never aware that their child is being bullied, but they are even less aware that their child is the one doing the bullying. Even the children that seem sweet and kind at home might be doing something to another child in school. Good bullying articles will outline all of this information in detail and may give ideas for how to proceed whether your child is the one being picked on or if they are the one pushing other students around.
Another thing to remember about finding bullying articles is that children of either sex can be bullies. I remember in my school, some of the biggest bullies were girls. Boys and girls go about it in different ways. Boys are more likely to be physical when bullying while girls are more into head games. Either way, the damage to self esteem and out look on life can be very damaging. If you fear there is bullying going on in your child’s school or class, print out the bullying articles and talk with your child, and even talk with the teacher.
