There are plenty of ways to throw away your hard-earned money now days. You can purchase lavish items that don't really amount to much. Most likely you will tire of these temporary highs over time. I learned this lesson not long ago. Material things don't equal happiness/satisfaction. At least not for all of us. Then there are countless gambling casinos. This is the epitome of throwing away cash. Nothing can suck up your green faster than a skilled croupier. Remember this the next time you hit Vegas for the weekend.
The human species is in love with risk. I don't care whether or not they admit this, it's true. People want that rush that goes hand-in-hand with the gamble. This is exactly why they travel to Las Vegas or Atlantic City for the weekend. They hit-up the gambling casinos and try their luck at the toss of some dice, or the pull of a lever. If you really ponder this behavior, you just may get baffled by it. Nevertheless folks will always continue to behave accordingly. Accordingly meaning predictably. My best friend of over 20 years is a primary example. He and his girlfriend love Las Vegas. However, they reside in Southern California. On any given weekend I can find him down in Vegas at a few gambling casinos. He generally leaves afterwards a few thousand short. Hmm, not my cup of tea. The funny part is that he always complains to me after he does it. I guess no one really wants to lose their money, but come on. The odds are highly stacked in the favor of the gambling casinos. Of course you're typically going to lose the cash you lay down. It's basic mathematics.
It's even on the web now days. So if you reside all the way up in Portland, Maine, you can still get your gamble on. There are endless gambling casinos online offering a variety of games. Of course it's not quite as up-close and personal as the casinos in Las Vegas, but it will get the job done. The job being "Your money LOST." Okay, maybe I'm being a bit harsh on gambling casinos and the entire process. In reality there are a few winners here and there. The question is; are you going to be one of them?
