The very first laptop I bought myself was an Acer laptop and it still holds pride of place in my heart. Don’t ask me why or how I set about choosing an Acer laptop. To be honest, at that point in my life, there was only one feature I was especially concerned about and it was plainly put, price. Having said that, my Acer laptop wasn’t necessarily the cheapest laptop in that event. But before I confuse you any further, I must go about describing things in a chronological manner.
Fresh out of college and in my first job, I happened to read about an Information technology exhibition that happened to be taking place in my hometown. I had a little bit of money saved up after paying for the college student loans and was in a mood to treat myself. Well, more than a treat, I needed a laptop for me to further my career and job prospects. This was when I espied that Acer laptop stand.
I couldn’t have missed it even if I wanted to. For one thing, it was the biggest stall by far at the exhibition. For another, it was the first stall that hit every entrant into the exhibition, as it was strategically located at the very beginning of the exhibition. No one who entered that exhibition could have missed seeing the Acer laptop stall. Maybe it was a combination of these factors that made me enter the Acer laptop stall. I still don’t know for sure. In fact, if truth be told, at that point in time, I wasn’t even aware of the various kinds of laptops in the market and the strengths and weaknesses of each. And an Acer laptop, at that point, seemed as good (or as bad) as any other kind or brand of laptop.
Anyways, after some pleasant hard selling by a very attractive stall attendant, I had made up my mind to buy myself the Acer laptop. Mind you, I haven’t stated that the stall attendant was one of the reasons I entered the stall as I truthfully had no idea who would serve me there. But she sure did have a lot to do in influencing my decision to finally make the purchase. This is the way in which I got myself an Acer laptop. And do I regret my decision? Not for one moment. For frankly, the Acer laptop hasn’t given me any trouble till date. A couple of years have passed, but the Acer laptop continues to perform to its utmost.
